Romana Correale was created with the purpose of fulfilling a dream; creating a collection entirely concieved by my way of seeing things!

It is a very personal view of what’s beautiful, modern, elegant, sporty, useful, lovely, playful, provocative and extravagant. All of it created with only the best materials and made with amazing artisan handicraft and know how.
The brand is me. My way of thinking and living. It is one with me. I think people are incredibly creative and everyone have an amazing talent already or to be discovered. I strongly believe in the individual strength of mind and the energy that a single person can create.
The future of fashion will be more and more personal and unique. The fashion items that a person chooses will identify them, no longer the brand giving a personality to the person but the other way around. That’s why I love using natural leather because I’m sure the same model will become a different bag in the hands of different people.
They will give the objects I’ve brought to life a second life and even more beauty and meaning. They way they live will change the color or the leather. How and with what they wear it will completely change its look. This is my dream in fashion!
When I chose the leathers for the bags, the metal parts and cottons I only chose the best available on the market. I did this because I wanted this collection to look and feel great! Leathers and metals can have similar look but may differ in almost everything aspect if you look carefully!
With ostrich for example is available in so many different prices and you see how the leather reacts in production while cutting it if it is first, second or third choice. The same with metals there is an abyss between brass and aluminum or others. Not only in weight and price but in beauty and durability too.
The choice of manufacturers was another big decision. It is widely known that I could have produced these bags in other countries selling them at same price with higher profits for me. But it is fundamental for me that production for every single product was made in Tuscany, Italy. Handmade. Each and every one of the bags. The costs of this is more than the double for me. After all, if french bags are manufactured in Tuscany, Italy, and are labeled as french made why should I have chosen a worse option?
Bags entirely made, conceived and packaged in Tuscany, Italy. 100 percent! This is the only way I can keep quality control over my beautifully made bags.

Thanks to:
Tommy Sollén, brand and online marketing strategist and project manager.
I’ve learned great knowledge about the importance of social media and its potential from him. Above all I’ve learned to have great respect for fashion on internet thanks to him. Respect for bloggers, fans, Facebook friends, comments and feedback. It is the new world brought near to the old Tuscan world. This understanding would never have been possible without his work, patience and tollerance. Nowdays i cant be happy if i dont answer directly to my fans!
Oakwood Creative, my web agency who built this website and my brand book.
I immidiately had great respect and a positive gut feeling for Sebastian Broms, the founder. He was honest and sensitive to my feeling towards the project. Sebastian is a great leader. His personality toghether with Tommys kept everyone toghether even when ideas were miles apart. Joakim Flodman, the art director, has been incredibly stubborn with his ideas and I am happy to say that he was right. I am incredibly happy with the decisons he has taken. I wouldnt change this group even if i had to start this “internet” adventure with my brand all over again. They know the new world of online communication like no one does in Italy and they applied their know how to fashion incredibly well.
It is the old world of artisan made products meeting the new world of online marketing communication.
Without Oakwood and Tommy Sollén this would never have been possible. The “concept” itself it’s completely new and revolutionary to “Made in Italy” fashion, which is usually very distant and inpenetrable.
A few days ago on national TV a fashion journalist defined bloggers in Milano fashion week as “a funny folklore group”.
Well i would like to respond to that: “I am one of them! Thank you.”
And finally, thanks to all my Facebook fans!
I know my fans by memory and remeber their names. I respond to them and I treasure some of their comments in my heart.
Please continue being there for me in this great challenge. It’s tougher than it seems and your support makes it all easier and more joyful.
